"How are we keeping these mushrooms out of extinction? Are we going to over-consume until the sacredness is lost? Just look at the overharvesting of Ayahuasca or Burning Mud. Just like our bodies speak to us, the earth does too."
Thanks for always bringing such a high level on consciousness to your work!!
I'm curious that you started off by comparing microdosing to coffee, yet eventually found out it wasn't something to do everyday. Do you have experience with alcohol or cannabis that may be more relevant comparisons? What, if any was the downside/hangover effect. I'm not interested in microdosing as I've quit drinking and found that sobriety is a gift in it's own way. I'll learn vicariously!
Thanks for your thoughts John! My intention was to compare microdosing to the material impact of coffee — not the daily ritual. Although, I do love to have coffee daily, I think it’s also a good check-in that it too is a conscience-altering substance that society has been programmed to accept. It may be cliche, but I’m a big believer of everything in balance — cannabis, alcohol, microdosing. We move through different rituals and routines but when they stop becoming impactful and start becoming unconscious, it’s time to pause and reevaluate. And totally honor your sobriety journey! I was sober curious for a few years and now consider myself an intentional drinker.
Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm grateful for you sharing where your microdosing is a conscious habit and were able to acknowledge you can experiment and re-evaluate to find the right dose . I look forward to learning more about your microdosing experiences and recreational use of mushrooms.
I loved this part so much:

I feel like you planted the seed for that one! So grateful as always for your support.
