I have a confession.
I recently lost the “magic in the mundane” — a way of being that I tout often as the cornerstone of my conscious work, but felt untethered to over the past month. I’m specifically referring to my last Growing FWD: on Crystal Healing.
I let my teacher persona take the wheel rather than my personal stories — the latter being the part of this budding newsletter and growing community that seems to spark the most joy.
In a recent interview with Elena Brower, a multidimensional mentor, mother, artist, poet, podcast host and so much more, she mentioned that she, “Found (herself) drawn to all the teachers that were really, truly students…because they continued to study and learn.”
As an insatiable learner and ‘scholar soul,’ this resonates with me deeply — and is what I believe connects this community. When I press send and the reading domino-effect unfolds, it’s like we’re all gathered in some virtual eclectic bohemian loft, hearts open, holding crystals, sharing stories, with our vulnerabilities spilling out, while sipping adaptogenic lattes.
Maybe you felt this disconnect in my last send or maybe it’s just Pisces season and I’m furling in my deep feels — candles are lit, jazz is playing, and I’m currently noshing on a croissant.
Meditation, this month’s Growing FWD: topic, is a practice that has consistently kept me coming home to myself when I feel disconnected from my truth and the every-day magic. It’s allowed me to stay present in my body, curious about the world, and clearly connect with how I can use my work to help others.
